The company offers a highly attractive ESOP structure, allowing leaders to participate directly in the business's long-term success.About the RoleWe are seeking a Regional Safety Director to lead safety strategy and execution across multiple states in the New England region. This role sits on the senior leadership team and serves as a strategic partner to operations, ensuring safety is embedded into every phase of project delivery—from preconstruction through field execution. The ideal candidate will be able to elevate systems and processes while respecting and building upon an already strong safety culture.Responsibilities:Leadership & Strategy Lead the regional safety vision and strategy across all operationsPartner with executive leadership to integrate safety into business performanceMentor and develop a team of 25+ safety professionalsDrive accountability and ownership of safety across all levelsCompliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with OSHA and state-specific regulations across New EnglandOversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsAnalyze key metrics (TRIR, DART, EMR) to drive continuous improvementManage audits, inspections, and regulatory interactionsField Operations Conduct regular site visits across active heavy civil projectsPartner with field leadership to proactively identify and mitigate riskSupport preconstruction with risk assessments and safety planningTraining & Development Design and implement enterprise-level safety training programsEnsure workforce and subcontractor compliance with training standardsLead company-wide safety initiatives and leadership engagement effortsIncident & Stakeholder Management Oversee all incident reporting, documentation, and follow-upInterface with insurance carriers, legal teams, and regulatory agenciesDrive continuous improvement through lessons learnedSubcontractor Oversight Evaluate and manage subcontractor safety performanceSupport prequalification and ongoing compliance reviewsQualifications:10+ years of safety leadership experience in heavy civil construction6+ years in a regional or multi-site leadership roleDeep expertise in infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, earthwork, marine)Strong working knowledge of OSHA and New England safety regulationsProven ability to influence executive leadership and field operationsExperience enhancing systems, processes, and safety culture at scaleBachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or equivalent (preferred)Required Skills:Executive-level visibility and influenceOpportunity to lead safety across a top-tier infrastructure contractorStrong existing culture with the ability to further elevate performanceParticipation in a highly attractive ESOP programLong-term stability with a clear leadership mandatePay range and compensation package:$240,000 – $320,000 base salary plus bonus and incentives Health, Dental, Vision401(k)Life InsuranceShort- and Long-Term DisabilityESOP participationExecutive-level benefits packageHow to ApplyIf you are a strategic safety leader looking to make a meaningful impact at scale, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
