Join us for the 2026-2027 school year!North Bullitt is seeking three (3) Special Education Instructional Health Assistants to support teachers in instructing students with special needs for the 26-27 school year. This role is essential in creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment where all students can grow, access instruction, and experience success while actively contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment for students and staff.Position DetailsHours: 6.5 hours per day (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)Contract Length: 183 days per year170 student instructional days4 holidays7 planning days2 extended daysContract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start dateEmployment Status: Full-time with benefitsEmployment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay scheduleQualifications & RequirementsEducation: Must meet one of the following:48 college semester hoursAn Associate's Degree ORHigh school diploma plus a passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment Exam.Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.Compensation & Experience CreditSalary for the 2026-2027 school year will be based on Board approved salary schedule.2025-2026 Pay Scale* Starting Pay (Step 0): $15.98/hour* Experienced Pay (Step 10): $19.67/hourWe value experience! Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired.New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.* The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.
