Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Our client is a fast-growing, innovative company located in downtown Chicago looking to add a Senior Accountant to their expanding finance team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the monthly close process and a variety of accounting functions while partnering cross-functionally with leadership in a collaborative, high-energy environment.This opportunity is ideal for someone coming out of public accounting who is looking to make a move into industry with a company that offers strong mentorship, career growth, and exposure to a dynamic business. The team has an engaging, social culture with regular events, excellent leadership, and a flexible hybrid schedule!Responsibilities:Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis related to compensation and employee benefit programsAnalyze account activity, variances, and trends to support financial reporting and business decisionsPartner cross-functionally with HR, FP&A, and Accounting teams on company-wide initiativesAssist with U.S. GAAP compliance, internal controls, and process improvement initiativesSupport special projects and ad hoc reporting as neededQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA-track preferred2+ years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting conceptsAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilitiesHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentPay Transparency Statement: The compensation philosophy reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting.
