Location: School of NursingHours: Full-time, salaryPay: Commensurate with experience and level of educational achievement according to the SAU salary structure for faculty.Start date: June 1, 2026Job Summary:The School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, in-person faculty position. Primary teaching responsibility is in the undergraduate pre-licensure mental health course. The faculty will engage in didactic, clinical, skills, and simulation activities along with other nursing team members.Qualifications:Minimum education of a master's degree in nursingRecent clinical nursing experience - within the past one to two years, with diverse patient populations and settings in behavioral health specialty areasTeaching experience - nursing higher education, including classroom and clinicalExcellent communication skills with fluency in the English languageFlexibility and willingness to meet reasonable School of Nursing needs and collaborate effectively with colleaguesService and mission orientationCommitment to SDA nursing educationMember in good and regular standing in the SDA churchResponsibilities:Prepare and deliver classroom instructionUse technology and innovative methods to deliver quality course content and engage students effectivelyCreate and administer classroom and clinical assignments, assessments, and evaluationsEngage in student advisementHold regular office hoursParticipate in assigned committeesSupport students in their learning processesAssist in the skills, simulation, or clinical areas as assignedContribute to curriculum development and accreditation processesMaintain credentials, licenses, certifications, and a current understanding of nursing standardsEngage in professional developmentFunction as a supportive team player with nursing faculty and staff colleaguesPromote a positive spiritual and emotional environment in all interactionsPerform reasonable duties as assigned by SON deanSpecial requirements:An expressed commitment to Jesus Christ, the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and an SDA church member in good and regular standing.Application process:* Apply through the online portal, including three professional references with contact information on the application* Submit a cover letter, teaching philosophy, and current curriculum vitae
