Program Quality Engineer
Job DescriptionBAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a Top Ten Prime Contractor to the Department of War, is hiring two Program Quality Engineers for our Anniston, AL and York, PA site. As a Program Quality Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality of our programs, working with employees within Program Management, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and more.In this role as a Program Quality Engineer, you will be tasked with the following:Support the objectives of the Quality Program Manager (QPM) by leading projects of small to moderate size and complexityDetermine and communicate project objectives and strategiesEnsure technical, test, performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements are met and that outcomes are consistent with established engineering and management principles and practiceReview contracts to determine contract deliverable report requirements (CDRL's)Develop, implement, and manage project issues, metrics, task definition, resource requirements, and quality initiativesAssess project quality risks then develop and support mitigation effortsAddress the various needs, concerns, and expectations of stakeholdersConceptualize and analyze technical challenges to ensure outcomes are consistent with customer and internal requirementsPrepare and present project technical results and recommendationsAdvise QPM on new developments and evolving technical challengesRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsTypically requires a Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years related experience, or the overall equivalentPractical working knowledge of project management, supply chain, configuration management, manufacturing, process improvement methodologies, and life cycle management processesFamiliar with product requirements and the execution of contractor / Government programsStrong communicator able to effectively share relevant information, costs, and concepts particularly in the form of presentations and to a diverse audienceExcellent interpersonal skillsAble to guide / mentor othersAble to coordinate and lead cross functional teamsExcellent organization and time management skillsComputer literacy to support the use of standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications such as Oracle or TipQASolid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and conceptsSolid understanding of Problem Solving tools and techniquesExperience working within a manufacturing environmentAble to support travel of up to 10%Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business preferredASQ accreditation and/or Green Belt certificationDemonstratable knowledge of ISO 9001, TS-16949, or AS9100Proficiency using Oracle and TipQAExperience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoWExperience in root cause analysis.PFMEAs, Control Plans, and risk-based quality toolsCorrective Action management and structured problem solvingComfort operating in ambiguity and driving issues to closurePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $79370 - $134929Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
