We’re looking for individuals who are safety focused, team oriented, adaptable, and excited to help create an exceptional guest experience in and around the water.As a Lifeguard, you’ll help maintain a safe, welcoming, and high energy environment throughout the surf lagoon and surrounding operational areas. This role supports guest safety, surf operations, wave sessions, and overall guest experience while working closely with the broader Surf Operations team.No surf experience? No problem. DSRT SURF provides training and certification support for qualified candidates based on the role. We’re looking for positive, motivated people who are excited to learn, grow, and be part of building something unique.This is a part time, fully on site role in Palm Desert, California.What You’ll DoMaintain active surveillance of guests in and around the surf lagoon and operational areasEnforce safety rules, operational procedures, and guest conduct standardsRespond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and rescue situationsSupport surf session operations and guest flow throughout the propertyAssist guests with questions, directions, and overall guest experienceParticipate in ongoing training, drills, and operational safety exercisesHelp maintain a clean, safe, and organized operational environmentSupport additional operational and guest experience needs as assignPotential Placement AreasTeam members may be placed in one or more operational areas depending on certifications, experience, training progress, and operational needs.Placement areas may include:Shore GuardReef Guard / Reef HostTower GuardRentals & Guest SupportSurf Operations SupportCertain team members may also have future opportunities for additional surf operations training and advancement opportunities including Surf Coach or Surf Instructor pathways.Requirements:What You BringStrong swimming skills and physical fitnessAbility to remain calm, alert, and professional in fast paced environmentsStrong communication and teamwork skillsPrevious aquatic, surf, hospitality, or guest service experience preferred but not requiredCommitment to safety, professionalism, and guest experienceAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsStokeWho You AreYou’re curious, positive, and excited to help build something unique from the ground up.
