Coding and computer science are essential skills for students to learn and schools to teach.About the RoleWe are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Curriculum Developer to join our curriculum team. This role focuses on building and maintaining high-quality computer science curriculum for high school, with a strong emphasis on supporting teachers through effective instructional materials and resources.This is an in-office position, which would require 5 days a week in the CodeHS Chicago office at 747 N LaSalle in River North.What You'll DoBuild and maintain computer science curriculum for high school coursesCollaborate with the curriculum team to design and launch new coursesDevelop teacher-facing materials including lesson plans, handouts, and activitiesWrite and maintain alignments to standardsCustomize curriculum for schools, districts, and statesCreate instructional videos and supporting materialsDevelop familiarity with the CodeHS course catalogQualifications3+ years of experience working in the K-12 education systemExperience with 6-12 computer science education preferredBasic programming knowledge (e.g., Java, Python)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCreative, positive, and solution-oriented mindsetLocationFull-time, in-office role in Chicago (River North).CompensationSalary range: $70,000-$85,000BenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with 4% matchPaid parental leaveGenerous PTO and holidaysShort-term and long-term disabilityCTA monthly pass coveredLunch provided 3 days per weekCompany ValuesEncourage Teaching and LearningCodeHS is about providing excellent teaching and learning opportunities in computer science forstudents all over the world.
