Server Repair Technician

Job Description The Server Repair Technician is responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of servers through comprehensive testing, troubleshooting, and hardware repair. This role requires strong Linux experience and collaboration across multiple departments, including motherboard repair, quality control, and inspections. The technician will perform stress tests, document findings with a specialized shop floor tool, and maintain parts inventory, while also supporting various quality assurance activities. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs is necessary.ResponsibilitiesTest and diagnose server hardware issuesTroubleshoot and replace faulty server componentsPerform and analyze server stress testsDocument symptoms, test results, and repairs using the shop floor toolCollaborate with motherboard repair, testing, QC, and inspection teamsProvide backup support for QC, inspections, whole unit repair, and motherboard testingManage parts consumption and inventorySafely lift and handle server components and equipment up to 50 lbsPreferred QualificationsLinux operating system experienceStrong hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting skillsExperience conducting stress testing on serversproficiency in technical documentationAbility to collaborate effectively across multiple teamsPhysical stamina to handle lifting and manual tasksFamiliarity with quality control processesCompany Description OnTrack Staffing – Since 2006 Passion.
