Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer (5603)

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer to join our client’s team. This is a remote, contract position.SALARY: $70-$90/hour (depending on experience)Unfortunately, at this time our client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas. Only candidates authorized to work in the US without sponsorship should apply.Requirements 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform Experience with configuration management and environment provisioning Skilled in containerization technologies such as Docker and ECS/Fargate Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling Familiarity with Linux systems administration, networking fundamentals, and cloud security best practicesResponsibilities Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch) Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring environments are reproducible and peer-reviewed Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and deployment automation Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot existing infrastructure, update documentation and runbooks Collaborate with Data Engineering, ML Operations, API Services, and Frontend Engineering teams to meet performance and scalability goals Implement security best practices and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST) within infrastructure Support monitoring, alerting, incident response, on-call rotations, and post-incident reviews Participate in continuous learning, growth, and innovation within the teamNextpath Workforce SolutionsNextPath is a strategic talent partner connecting skilled professionals with organizations driving innovation and growth.
