Overview:
GitHub is looking for a Director of Partner Marketing to build the strategy and lead this net new function at GitHub. This individual will design the global strategy and ensure its execution with internal stakeholders and strategic partners across two main areas: Technical Partners and Channel & Services Partners/GSIs. Both of these segments are crucial to GitHub’s ongoing growth and scale as an organization. This individual will be focused on achieving marketing goals aligned to GitHub’s business objectives and will collaborate cross-functionally with many teams at GitHub including Revenue, Product, Engineering and other Marketing functions as well as with our peers at Microsoft. The right candidate is a strategic thinker, strong collaborator, data-driven and can deal with ambiguity effectively.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute on a comprehensive partner marketing strategy for GitHub.
Align closely with Technical and Channel/Services/GSI Partner leadership on a GTM strategy that will help achieve marketing goals aligned to GitHub’s business objectives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue, Product, Engineering and other Marketing functions as well as with our peers at Microsoft to guide the strategy and execution of prioritized partner marketing programs.
Be the single point of contact within GitHub for all marketing-related motions with external partners.
Build relationships and align closely with strategic external partners for GitHub, aligning on a mutually beneficial GTM strategy and goals.
Set the partner marketing targets and overall partner marketing performance goals in alignment with the overall GTM goals/targets for GitHub.
Track and report progress on key metrics, including regular readouts on the performance of partner marketing.
Manage and plan annual budgets for delegating on partner marketing programs.
Build and manage a small team of partner marketing professionals.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of marketing experience in business-to-business (B2B) integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign, etc.), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or a related field
Experience in alliance marketing, partner marketing and/or field marketing
3+ years people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with consumption-based business models
Experience within a high-growth SaaS technology company
Experience with developing an Organizational Strategy
Experience working with Microsoft’s Partner organization
Compensation Range: The base salary range for this job is USD $105,400.00 - USD $279,500.00 /Yr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
