About the JobJob details:Inspection and assessment:Thoroughly inspect incoming used conveyor systems and components to identify wear, damage, and potential issues.Refurbishment and repair:Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including replacing worn belts, bearings, motors, and drives.Preventive maintenance:Execute scheduled maintenance on all equipment to ensure its long-term reliability.Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems on a variety of systems, often under pressure to meet resale deadlines.Testing:Test all repaired and refurbished equipment to ensure it operates safely and meets performance standards.Documentation:Accurately complete work orders and maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.Safety:Adhere to all safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain a safe work environment.Inventory management:Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of spare parts and tools needed for maintenance.Modification:Assist with upgrades, modifications, and installations as needed for specific systems being prepared for resale.Experience:Proven experience in mechanical repair, with a preference for experience with conveyor systems and material handling equipment.Technical skills:Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including motors, gear reducers, belts, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read schematics and diagrams is essential.Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.Problem-solving:Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.Attention to detail:Meticulous approach to inspections, repairs, and documentation.Physical requirements:Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, and pulling.Other:Ability to work independently or as part of a team and a strong commitment to safety.About the Company
