Gynecology Physician

Director OB/GYN - Casa Grande, AZSTATEMENT OF PURPOSE:Responsible for the overall management of the OB/GYN department. The OB/GYN DIRECTOR aids the Medical Director and CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER by providing clinical leadership. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Develop physician office, and call schedules for respective department.Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate OB/GYN Physicians, and mid-level OB/GYN Providers. Assist the manager in supervising medical assistants' performance of OB/GYN medical tasks and skills.Examines patients, takes medical history, records results, and makes preliminary diagnosis of disease, illness and injury and decides care plan, or follow-up procedures.Instruct nurses, medical assistants, back-office assistants regarding assistance with patient care.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:2-5 Years experience in medicine, preferably in a group settingAbility to work effectively with as team playerAbility to suggest and write policies and procedures specific to the OB/GYN departmentAbility to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaintsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Completion of a four-year undergraduate, 4 years Medical School, 1-year rotating Internship, 2 years ResidencyBoard Certified OB/GYN M.D. or D.O. degreeCurrent Arizona licenseExperience as a Chief of Obstetrics or Chief of Medical StaffExperience supervising, planning, assigning, and directing work of OB/GYN Providers and support staff.Experience as a member or peer review committee, surgical care committee, or similar committees.Administrative and Management experience.
