Job Summary:
Garrett Electric is seeking a skilled and motivated Instrument and Electrical (I&E) Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls, with experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in industrial or commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems.
Calibrate and troubleshoot instruments, sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
Perform wiring, conduit installation, and panel terminations according to NEC standards.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
Assist with project planning, testing, and commissioning of new systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and equipment serviced.
Adhere to all safety procedures and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or associate degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation work (industrial or commercial).
Strong knowledge of NEC, instrumentation principles, and safety protocols.
Ability to use test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
