Assistant Project Manager - Plumbing
Position OverviewSupport the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and delivering commercial and industrial plumbing projects from pre-construction through close-out. The Assistant Project Manager will help manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors and on-site work to ensure installations meet design intent, code requirements and client expectations. This role requires strong project management and coordination skills, practical plumbing knowledge, and experience working in construction environments.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Project Manager with project planning, scheduling and resource allocation to meet milestones and budget targets.Coordinate day-to-day project activities between site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to ensure smooth execution.Review plumbing drawings, specifications and shop drawings; raise and track RFIs and change orders as required.Monitor project progress and costs, prepare regular status reports, and assist with forecasting and cost control.Oversee site quality control and workmanship, ensuring installations comply with project drawings, specifications and applicable plumbing codes.Manage procurement and material deliveries, verify quantities and handle shortages or substitutions with minimal schedule impact.Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies on site and participate in safety meetings and inspections.Support commissioning, testing and start-up of plumbing systems and assist with client handover and final close-out documentation.Attend project meetings, record minutes and follow up on action items to closure.Assist in mentoring and supervising junior staff and trades as required.QualificationsDiploma or degree in Plumbing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field; or equivalent trade background with progressive project experience.3+ years of experience in plumbing construction or project coordination on commercial and/or industrial projects.Working knowledge of plumbing systems, standards and local building/plumbing codes (e.g., IPC or applicable local codes).Proven project management and coordination skills; experience with scheduling, cost tracking and reporting.Familiarity with construction software such as MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam and Excel; experience with BIM/Revit is a plus.Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.Valid plumbing license or journeyman qualification preferred; OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety certification preferred.Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as required.BenefitsCompetitive Salary: $80k - $110kBonusMedical InsuranceHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k)Paid time offPaid HolidaysCar Allowance Email Your Resume In Word ToKayton.Nimmo@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
