Logistics Analyst

As a Logistics Analyst within Inalfa you are in the driver’s seat for multi-site logistics functions throughout plants involving activities to include but not limited to transportation, packaging, delivery, and material flow.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Resolve any transportation/shipping issuesHelp identify and drive cost saving opportunities and transportation efficiencies such as load consolidationsAssist in ensuring packaging standards are correct in ERP/transportation systemEstablish Min/Maxes for the operations team as well as assist in creating visual aidsEstablish PFEPs (Plan for Every Part) on all production lines and ensure the production floor is trained on them.Review packaging in use for optimization regarding shipping, storage, and line presentationMap out production and warehouse layouts for most optimal material flowEstablish and maintain inventory supermarkets for optimal material flow in the plantEstablish ordering procedures from the production line to the warehouse and ensure proper training of floor associates.Collect, analyze, and report KPIs on all aspects of the supply chain, develop reports as neededCollaborate with supply chain team and others to implement lean initiativesIdentify opportunities for inventory reductionWork with customs broker/freight forwarders, validate HTS codes, prep clearance docs.Monitor and Maintain Cycle Count Schedule with the warehouse teamRoot Cause and investigate any inventory losses with the warehouse and production team.Work with team members on packaging/returnable availability, repairs, and other requirements.Assess risks, develop, and execute contingency plans within the supply chain for proper handling of supplier failuresHelp assist in repairing customer and supplier packagingAssist in developing packaging for new programs/projectsAssist in acquiring backup packaging for bank buildsBusiness case analysis in supply chain/packaging projectsAssist in improving overall Supply Chain Operating performance scoreOther duties as assignedEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of automotive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with lean initiatives including problem solving toolsWorking knowledge of Plan for Every PartBasic understanding of production planning, scheduling, and warehouse operations as they correspond to logistics activitiesKnowledge of ERP systemsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with Microsoft Word and Excel requiredExperience with flow charting preferredSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/AIATF16949 RESPONSIBILITIES The IATF16949 responsibilities listed below are required for this position.Adhere to all TS16949 procedures as related to the Materials department function.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
