The Operations Manager will lead all production operations within a manufacturing facility, ensuring targets for efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery are consistently achieved. DescriptionThe Operations Manager will:Ensure product quality standards are achieved by implementing standardized processes, training employees, and addressing key performance issues identified through data analysisRespond promptly to internal and external inquiries regarding production status and work ordersPartner with planning, sales, and operations teams to develop achievable production schedules that meet customer delivery expectations and drive continuous improvement in on-time delivery performancePromote and model a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations and policiesMonitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively addressing trends that could impact financial or operational targetsDrive daily performance by comparing actual results to targets and empowering teams to solve problems in real timeFoster a continuous improvement mindset by applying Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles across operationsMaintain a visible presence on the production floor, encouraging hands-on problem-solving and employee engagementLead change initiatives and build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and recognitionSupport workforce development through hiring, training, multi-skill development, and employee engagement initiativesEnsure clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, including leadership and cross-functional teamsEnforce standardized work practices and ensure compliance with safety protocols and 5S workplace organization standardsCollaborate with engineering and continuous improvement teams to optimize processes and implement improvementsMaintain equipment performance and uptime through effective coordination with maintenance teamsEnsure compliance with quality standards, industry certifications, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirementsOversee accurate and timely completion of production documentation and recordsManage workforce scheduling, including overtime and vacation planning, to meet production needs ProfileThe successful Operations Manager should have the following qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations or plant leadershipExperience in sheet metal manufacturing processes preferredStrong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologiesFamiliarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office toolsAbility to work independently and lead with minimal supervisionStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsBroad understanding of manufacturing processes and operational workflowsExperience delivering presentations, training, and mentoring employees Job OfferMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceEmployer-paid Short-Term DisabilityEmployer-paid life insurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Paid holidays401(k) with company matchAppy today for immediate consideration!
