SUMMARY
Responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates on a regular basis with Engineering / Quality / MFG Management
Follows directives from Engineering Manager concerning process improvement and implementation objectives to meet customer and/or future customer requirements and/or other similar activities
Evaluate and implement improvements on processes in manufacturing systems
Ensure projects are completed on time
Research and propose new manufacturing technology
Utilize problem solving skills for process improvement on the production floor
Provide guidance and advice to management and/or other groups on technical systems or process related to topics.
Recommend innovative solutions
Microsoft office / familiar with CAD CAM programs
Desirable knowledge about programs like Siemens / FANUC / Allen Bradley / Fagor
Knowledge about GD&T / PCDmis / CMM report analysis-directions
Demonstrate good communication skills
Identify the educational needs of others as related to process improvements and be able to provide instruction in these areas
Able to travel when required / Attend trade shows and other similar events
Lean manufacturing knowledge, and/or ability to learn and apply requirements
Active participate in employee training programs
Active participant in company meetings as required
Active participant in 5-S activities / Kaizen / PDCA / SDCA
Adhere to all company policies, rules and procedures
Knowledgeable of and supports Human Resource, Quality and Safety/Environmental policies & practices. Strives for continuous improvement in their area of expertise and job function that results in better cost, quality, or functionality of the products we deliver to our customers
Promote good employee relations and high morale
Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible
All other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Minimum Four (4) years’ of related experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Work in a manufacturing environment
Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, reach
