Sr. Network Engineer (Remote)

About the Role:We are looking to hire a Senior Network & Data Center Engineer who will be part of our Professional Services Organization to provide support, guidance and assistance to address specific customer needs. In this position, you will be working as a technology expert in the Data center Routing & Switching space to design, implement, and support (troubleshoot) the deployments within a customer infrastructure. The ideal candidate will also have a level of comfort communicating across all functions within the organization, as well as with clients and partners. Previous Service Provider experience is a huge plus.Essential Functions of the Job:Provide support for large Data Center networking deployment for a large customer.Review customer network designs for an EVPN, VxLAN, leaf-spine architecture and make recommendations for deploymentsMigrate or interconnect to/from Cisco, Juniper and other vendors to Arista infrastructureAssist with configuration build outs including creating network provisioning automation using Python and tools such as Chef or AnsibleAssist with implementation and change controlsAssist with proof of concepts (POC) and in-depth testing to validate design scenarioProvide bug scrubs and code recommendationsProvide interface to TAC and internal development teams and the customerProvide customer advice regarding architectural questions as requiredTranslate complex business requirements into Leaf-Spine Network solutionsDesign Network solutions utilizing extensive experience with routing protocols including advanced BGP design as well as extensive EVPN/VXLAN experience.Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholdersUnderstand the client’s business objectives and technical needsSome travel may be requiredQualifications, Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experienceNetwork Industry Certification preferred (e.g. ACE L3, ACE L5, CCIE (DC/SP)10+ years’ minimum working experience with network technologies including network design and deployments of Data Center networks.
