Electrical Construction Project Manager - High Voltage Substation

Job Description Construction Project Manager*Required Medium and High Voltage Electrical Experience Is NON-NEGOTIABLE*Field & Office-Based | Travel Required (~50+ days/year) | Full-TimeMasTec – Power Delivery / Energy Erectors Inc. is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead electrical construction projects from office or home-based locations while overseeing field operations. This role emphasizes safety, schedule, budget, labor management, customer satisfaction, and quality compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage field operations via Construction Manager, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget complianceOversee contract administration, including change orders, scope adjustments, and means/methods of workPlan and manage personnel, equipment, and subcontractor resourcesMaintain accurate cost accounting, reporting, and change order logsCoordinate equipment acquisitions and track costs via Construction ManagerSubmit monthly cost-to-complete projections and weekly quantity reportsMaintain vendor and subcontractor relationships, mitigating risk and cost overrunsPerform other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation & Training:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferredOSHA 30 certificationExperience:1–10 years of project management in electrical constructionMedium and high-voltage distribution systems, substations (up to 345 kV), AC/DC control systems, and transmission linesContract management, CPM scheduling, estimating contract changesViewPoint software experience preferredSkills:Strong organizational and planning abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communicationProblem-solving and team-oriented approachAttention to detail and proactive initiativePhysical Demands:Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 10–50 lbsAble to drive regularly and work up to 14-hour daysTravel and occasional consecutive days in the field requiredExposure to various weather conditions Why Work With MasTecLead impactful electrical projects from planning to executionWork in a dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on safety and qualityDevelop your career with a Fortune 500 company known for technical excellence and integrity
