Truck Driver Job Description Job Overview: Join our team as a Truck Driver and play a vital role in our transportation operations by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting various types of cargo using dry van trailers. You will be engaged in route driving, no touch freight, mostly drop and hook. This position offers 2800-3200 miles a week running the Southeast, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic states. NO NYC. You will get home every 2 weeks for 2 full days. Responsibilities: - Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated destinations. - Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality. - Efficiently plan routes to guarantee on-time deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards. - Coordinate delivery schedules by effectively communicating with dispatchers and team members. - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage covered, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transportation. - Adhere strictly to company transportation policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
