Room attendant responsibilities include changing towels, making beds and cleaning bathrooms. You will also address clients’ queries and make sure our rooms are fully stocked, clean and always inviting. Ultimately, you will ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests during their stay with us.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards, and correct maintenance and use of equipment.Be familiar with all hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities, to respond to guest inquiries accurately.Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.Remove all dirty terry and replace with clean par to designated layout.Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up, and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain, and floor, and empty trash containers. Replace facial, toilet tissue, and bathroom amenities in the correct amount and location.Inspect the condition of bathrobes and replace soiled/damaged ones.Remove laundry bags and slips, dirty bed linen, and make up the bed with clean linen.Clean closets and door tracks on check-out rooms, removing dust and debris. Ensure correct amount and placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillow, and a luggage rack.Open all drawers/doors in check-out rooms and remove items left by previous guests.Check under bed(s), chairs, and sofa for debris and remove if present.Inspect the condition of all furniture for tears, rips, or stains; report any damage to the supervisor.Address guests’ queries (e.g. on additional services)Remove dust and debris from designated areas including but not limited to, all furniture, media, and accessories, and realign furniture to floor plan and replace missing items.Remove dust, smudges, and spills from the minibar; restock items and ensure it is plugged in and secured.Required QualificationsThe ability to listen to, assess, and appropriately respond to information conveyed through speech.The ability to exercise personal discipline and extra diligence to assure that projects are completed on a timely basis.The ability to subordinate one’s personal agenda in favor of working collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals.The ability to motivate and inspire others to work cooperatively to achieve a designated goal.The ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data.Qualification StandardsHigh school or equivalent preferred. 1 to 2 years previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel preferred.All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided) Physical RequirementsMust be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able walk, stand and exert well placed mobility for up to eight (8) hours.Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel.Wage Rate: $24.00-$28.00 per hourAbout The Barnes HotelThe Barnes San Francisco, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is a boutique hotel situated less than a block from Union Square on Powell Street.
