Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: Omaha, NEJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Controls Engineer with experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and HVAC controls. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DDC programming, system integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning of commercial building automation systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, program, and configure BAS/DDC systems for commercial facilities.Review project drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation.Develop control drawings and wiring diagrams using Microsoft Visio.Select and configure controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, and other control components.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and optimize HVAC and building automation systems.Support system startup, testing, commissioning, and performance optimization.Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and customers throughout project execution.Maintain accurate project documentation and system records.Qualifications1–3 years of experience with BAS, BMS, HVAC controls, or a related field.Hands-on experience programming DDC controllers.Experience with Microsoft Visio for control drawings.Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.Knowledge of BAS networking, system integration, and HVAC controls.Experience with one or more platforms such as Niagara/Tridium, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Distech, or Alerton.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Valid driver's license.Preferred SkillsExperience with commercial building automation and smart building technologies.Strong attention to detail with a solution-oriented mindset.Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to support commissioning, startup, and long-term system optimization.
