Position- Learning & Development Manager
Location- Indianapolis, IN (Remote)
Duration- 6 Month
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive training programs for 988 call specialists, dispatchers, and other system partners across Indiana Facilitate trainings and implementation, as well as auditing of learning and development
as necessary Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training content aligns with best practices in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and mental health support (SAMHSA's Behavioral Health Crisis Care Best Practices a plus) Support stakeholders and their training staff to increase consistency and success in Ensure updates to all trainings as deemed appropriate Maintain the learning management system Conduct training needs assessments and identify gaps in knowledge and skills Stay up-to-date on emerging trends in crisis intervention and mental health support Develop and maintain training materials, including handouts,
presentations, and online resources Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to create trainings in support of interoperability of the crisis response system
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience developing and/or delivering training programs in a crisis response or mental health setting Excellent written and verbal communication
skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Project coordination skills, including multitasking and setting priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) a plus
Demonstrates cultural and linguistic competence and understands impact of unique challenges for underrepresented groups accessing crisis services, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+ populations, and rural communities
Personal/Lived experience accessing crisis services for a mental health, substance use, and/or suicide-related crisis preferred Experience with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and Indiana's Crisis Response System preferred
Required/Desired Skills:
Experience developing and/or delivering training programs in a crisis response or mental health setting
Program training development and presentation experience, preferably in a crisis intervention program.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) a plus
Experience developing, implementing and training program policies and procedures.
Familiarity with Law enforcement and 911 PSAP culture and standards, SAMHSA Behavioral Health Crisis Care Best Practices
Experience with de-escalation techniques, motivational interviewing, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
