Position: Code/Art Summer Camp - Art Instructor (Contract Position)Location: In-person at Miami Dade College (campus TBD)Dates: July 27 – August 7, 2026 (Monday–Friday, 2 weeks)Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PMRate: $25-35 (Commensurate with experience)About Code/ArtCode/Art is a non-profit whose mission is to increase the number of girls studying computer science by delighting and inspiring them with the creative possibilities of technology. We strive to put young women, particularly young women from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, on track for future tech careers by providing welcoming early coding programs that focus on art, creativity and social good.About the RoleJoin Code/Art in bringing art and computer science together through a creative summer program designed for girls ages 9-13. Art Instructor will lead hands-on art arts and crafts activities, support student creativity, and help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment. You will collaborate closely with the Coding Instructor to ensure art projects align with coding lessons and that the overall experience is cohesive and well-organized leading to a final art showcase for students’ families. Additionally, you will communicate with parents at drop-off and pick-up, and with Code/Art Staff (Programs team) via email or WhatsApp. Training/planning calls will be scheduled prior to the start of camp (likely virtual). ResponsibilitiesLead and support daily art lesson activities that align with the Code/Art curriculumEnsure student understanding and engagementTake attendance and support classroom managementCommunicate student progress and any concerns to the Programs ManagerReview lesson materials in advance of each day as well as debrief after each day Plan a group mural or showcase project that students can work on throughout the 2 weeksRequirements and QualificationsMust pass a background checkAttend required (paid) training sessionsStrong communication and reliability (must commit to all 2 weeks) Pursuing or completed coursework in Art Education or a related fieldComfortability with using technology to support art projects is a plus Experience working with grade school students (grades 3–8) preferredAdditional InformationCode/Art is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity.
