Lander~Grinspoon Academy, a K-6 Jewish Day school in Northampton, MA, is hiring a dynamic and creative full-time Hebrew teacher.What you will doYou will teach Hebrew classes to students in grades 2-6 every day. Each class is 45-60 minutes, conducted all in Hebrew. In addition you will Partner with families in regular communicationNurture a joyful sense of Jewish identity within each studentTeach about Jewish holidays at appropriate times of yearCommit to implementing our social/emotional curriculum as well as our strong academic programQualificationsOur ideal candidate is enthusiastic about contributing to school-wide initiatives including social justice, our on-site working farm, and creative arts. In addition, you Hold a Bachelor's degreeAre fluent in Hebrew and able to teach entirely in the target languageHave strong Judaic content knowledge and are able to teach about Jewish holidays in HebrewHave experience teaching elementary grade studentsWork well as part of teamAre familiar with Talam (preferred)Benefits Salary is $43,000-$66,000 commensurate with experience and educationHealth and Dental insuranceRetirement planTeachers have about 2 hours of prep time a day.A strong support base!
