Robot Welder (Robotic Welding Operator)Location: Taylor, MIJob Type: Full-TimeShift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM 7:00 AM, SundayThursday)Pay Rate: $18 per hourPrimary Purpose & FunctionWe are seeking a reliable Robot Welder to operate and maintain robotic welding equipment at Watson Engineering. This role is responsible for ensuring quality welds, maintaining production efficiency, and supporting overall manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesOperate robotic welding machines to weld metal components to specificationsLoad and unload parts into robotic weld fixturesPerform visual inspections of welds to ensure quality and consistencyUse gauges, calipers, and measuring tools to verify part accuracyMake minor adjustments to welding parameters as neededConduct basic troubleshooting and report equipment issues to maintenancePerform grinding, deburring, and finishing work as neededMaintain production standards and meet daily quotasFollow all safety procedures and keep work area clean and organizedSkills & QualificationsPrevious robotic welding or welding experience preferredFamiliarity with MIG welding processes is a plusAbility to read blueprints and work instructionsExperience using basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)Strong attention to detail and quality controlReliable attendance and ability to work independently on 3rd shiftPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for 810 hours per shiftAbility to lift up to 4050 lbs as neededAbility to perform repetitive motions in a manufacturing settingSafety Equipment / PPESteel-toe boots requiredWelding helmet, gloves, and protective clothingSafety glasses and hearing protectionNotice Regarding the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Employment DecisionsIn accordance with state mandates, we are providing this notice to inform all applicants and employees that artificial intelligence (AI) tools may be used at various stages of our employment processes.
