Overview:To teach, supervise and ensure a nurturing environment for Pre-K children. Also, to support the child-care program in providing quality care that will be safe, affirming, enjoyable and enriching to children.Description:Understands and demonstrates attendance and punctuality are vital.Responsible for the planning and implementing the program’s curriculum and approved bible devotionals daily.Ensure equipment and the facility is clean, well maintained and safe at all times.Directly responsible for keeping his or her classroom and class restroom as clean as possible at all times. (This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing)Turn in weekly lesson plans and newsletter information to the Director of Childcare Services.Be familiar with emergency procedures and follow them.Ensure children are supervised at all times and proper adult to children ratios required by the State of Mississippi are maintained at all times.Establish routines and provide positive guidance and implement positive discipline when required.Observe children and record progress by developmental assessments.Discuss child’s progress and keep open communication with parents.Maintains a professional relationship with parents and co-workers. Perform any and all other related duties as assigned by the Director of Childcare Services and/or Director of Operations. Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age and bondableHigh School diploma or GED is requiredOne year of instructional experience in a licensed childcare facility is requiredAbility to adapt to the center's needs and hourCurrent child/adult CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtainReliable Transportation to and from workMust be eligible and pass MSDH Background CheckPhysical Requirements:Walking, Squatting, Climbing, Hearing, Standing for periods longer than one hour, Pushing (50 lbs.), Lifting (50 lbs.), Sitting, Pulling (50 lbs.), Speech, and VisionMust be able to lift and move In The Zone equipment properly as need arise.Must be physically able to participate in high-energy activities with students.
