This individual will play a key leadership role in advising private equity firms, healthcare operators, and strategic investors on middle-market M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will bring both technical rigor and industry insight, with experience developed at a large accounting or consulting firm.This role is ideal for a TAS professional who thrives in fast-paced deal environments, enjoys leading client engagements, and can effectively translate complex financial, operational, and regulatory dynamics within healthcare businesses.Key ResponsibilitiesTransaction Execution & AdvisoryLead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for healthcare industry transactions, including quality of earnings analysis, working capital assessments, and profitability analyses.Oversee financial modeling, trend analyses, KPI development, and normalization adjustments specific to healthcare businesses.Evaluate key healthcare-specific drivers (payer mix, reimbursement trends, provider productivity, revenue cycle, regulatory and compliance considerations) and translate them into transaction insights.Client & Engagement ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for private equity and corporate healthcare clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.Manage multiple concurrent engagements while maintaining quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.Deliver clear, concise, and actionable reports and presentations tailored to executive and investor audiences.Team Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise, coach, and develop staff and senior associates; provide ongoing feedback and support career development.Review team work product for technical quality, accuracy, and alignment with engagement objectives.Market & Practice DevelopmentSupport business development efforts, including proposal development, participation in pitch meetings, and identification of new opportunities.Contribute to healthcare industry thought leadership and internal knowledge-building initiatives.Build and nurture relationships with private equity firms, lenders, and healthcare operators.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 3+ years in Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) at a large accounting or consulting firm.Significant experience working on healthcare-focused M&A transactions, preferably with middle-market deal sizes.Strong understanding of healthcare subsectors (providers, physician groups, behavioral health, home health/hospice, healthcare IT, revenue cycle management, ASC networks, etc.).Expertise in preparing and reviewing quality of earnings (QoE) analyses, financial models, and related transaction deliverables.Strong project management skills and ability to lead multiple workstreams concurrently.Exceptional communication skillsboth written and verbalwith experience presenting to C-suite and private equity executives.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.PreferredCPA, CFA, or MBA.Familiarity with healthcare regulatory environments, reimbursement methodologies, and operational KPIs.Experience working with private equity sponsors on both buy-side and sell-side mandates.
