Houston, Texas – No relocation package offered.Schedule:One year contract initially – extensions each year up to first oil (3.5 years estimated)Monday–Friday40–45 hours per week – 1.5 OT after 40 hoursPrimarily office-basedOccasional travel to supplier/vendor locations (~15%) Limited to no international travelRequired Qualifications:10–15 years of Quality Engineering experience within Oil & Gas projectsStrong offshore project experience, preferably topsides/FPS experienceMechanical discipline background preferredExperience supporting EPC/EPCM project environmentsStrong understanding of vendor quality and package managementExperience overseeing suppliers and fabrication quality activitiesKnowledge of rotating and static mechanical equipment packagesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to coordinate across multiple contractors and suppliersPreferred Experience:Gulf of Mexico/Gulf of America offshore projectsFPS, topsides, or major offshore production facility experienceExperience working with Seatrium, Audubon, Exmar, or similar EPC organizationsFamiliarity with contractor quality systems and third-party inspection managementThis is a senior-level package quality oversight position focused on EPC coordination, vendor management, and contractor quality alignment — not hands-on inspection execution.You will support major offshore developments for the client, focusing on large-scale offshore FPS developments and will provide quality oversight across complex mechanical equipment packages during engineering, procurement, fabrication, and supplier execution phases.Key Responsibilities:Provide end-to-end quality oversight for mechanical equipment packagesInterface with EPC contractors, engineering firms, vendors, and suppliersOversee package quality execution for turbines, compressors, valves, and rotating/static mechanical equipmentParticipate in kickoff meetings, pre-production meetings, and quality alignment reviewsMonitor and coordinate Third Party Inspection (TPI) activitiesEnsure contractors and suppliers meet the client's quality requirements and project specificationsSupport package management activities throughout procurement and fabrication phasesReview contractor quality documentation, procedures, and inspection strategiesDrive quality communication across stakeholders, EPCs, and vendorsSupport supplier surveillance and vendor quality management activitiesInfluence contractor performance and maintain alignment with project quality expectationsNot Suitable For:Pure QC inspectors without engineering/vendor oversight experienceManufacturing-only backgrounds lacking Oil & Gas exposureSubsea-only candidates without transferable topsides/package experience
