Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)Location: Miami, FloridaPosition Type: Full-Time | School-Based (Onsite)Start Date: ASAP | Current School Year (Year round school)Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students with autism in a specialized, high-needs school setting in the Miami area. This role focuses on helping students develop functional life skills, sensory regulation, and independence through structured, individualized therapy services.The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support student success.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct occupational therapy services aligned with IEP goalsImplement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational TherapistSupport students with sensory processing, fine motor, and daily living skillsAssist in managing behaviors and promoting student engagement in a structured environmentCollaborate with teachers, behavior staff, and related service providersDocument therapy sessions, progress, and student outcomesParticipate in team meetings and contribute to student progress discussionsQualificationsAssociate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programActive Florida COTA license requiredNBCOT certification requiredMinimum 1 year of pediatric experience (school-based or clinic setting required)Experience working with students with autism or high-needs populations strongly preferredStrong communication, teamwork, and organizational skillsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay starting at $28/hour & based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off (PTO)401(k) with company matchWeekly payWhy Work with Birch Agency?Birch Agency is dedicated to connecting skilled clinicians with meaningful opportunities in supportive school environments.
