DevSecOps EngineerSalary: $110-140k DOEClearance: Must hold an active Secret Security ClearanceLocation: Must live within the DC area. We are mostly remote, but you will need to be onsite monthly in Frederick, MDPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating security practices within the DevOps process, ensuring that our applications and infrastructure are secure from the ground up. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our development pipelines and implement effective security measures.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the DevSecOps initiatives, implementing security practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle.Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to automate security controls and monitoring.Design and implement monitoring solutions for databases to ensure performance and security compliance.Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using Python to streamline operations and enhance security.Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.Provide guidance and training to team members on DevSecOps best practices and tools.QualificationsProven experience as a DevSecOps Lead or in a similar role within a DevOps environment.Must have an active Secret clearance and Security+ certification.Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, with a focus on security integration.Proficiency in database monitoring and management with both SQL & NoSQL.Expertise in Python programming for automation and scripting tasks.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Nice to have:Experience working within a Java Environment.Experience working with: Postgres, MySQL, ElasticSearchREST Service DevelopmentManaged Network Services domain knowledge is a plus!Satellite Communications domain knowledge is a plus!Exposure to DoD CustomersBenefitsMedical, dental, vision insurancePaid time off401k with company match
