Job Description Quality EngineerSummaryWe are seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality assurance operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for contract review, corrective action investigations, audit support, inspection review, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with customer, ASME, and military quality standards.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform quality assurance duties following established procedures and work instructionsReview customer purchase order requirements and develop detailed quality action plansCoordinate and support welding, NDT, dimensional inspection, and heat treatment requirementsReview and disposition material rejection reportsAnalyze inspection processes and recommend equipment or process improvements to enhance quality and productivityReview calibration records for compliance and investigate gauge deviationsConduct internal and external audits to ASME and military compliance standardsReview and approve dimensional inspection records for accuracy and acceptabilityPerform root cause analysis using corrective action methodologies such as 5 Why and Ishikawa diagramsImplement preventative actions and mistake-proofing initiativesDevelop and maintain quality requirements for subcontracted servicesCollaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and inspection teams to resolve quality concernsRequirementsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred5–7 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environmentExperience performing contract review on complex technical documentation and customer requirementsFamiliarity with corrective action investigations and root cause analysis methodologiesKnowledge of nondestructive testing (NDT), welding processes, ASME codes, and military standards preferredStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Vacation and HolidaysMedical Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Life and Disability InsuranceWellness ProgramPaid Bereavement LeaveEducational Reimbursement ProgramVoluntary Insurance OptionsTraining and Development ProgramsAll offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
