Trailer Mechanic - 2nd, & 3rd shifts

The Trailer Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of heavy-duty diesel fleet trailers. Compensation: $24 - $30 per hour DOE, Paid weekly, every Friday! Schedule: Tues- Sat 2:00pm- 10:30pm Sun- Thurs 2:00- 10:30pm Tues- Sat 10:00pm – 6:30 am Sun- Thurs 10:00pm- 6:30 am What’s in it for you? Full-Benefits within 30 days! What the Trailer Mechanic/Technician role looks like: Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to trailers Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance Remove or install various parts on vehicles Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary Perform other duties as required What our ideal candidate looks like: Must have at least 2 years' experience performing vehicle and trailer maintenance. Experience with Class 8 tractor trailers DOT inspection or Air Brake experience (Minimum of 1 year) Experience with PMs, tires, and electrical Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly Must be able to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds Must provide own hand tools Basic computer skills Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
