Asset Management Associate

We are seeking an Asset Management Associate to support the performance, reporting, and ongoing management of AWM’s real estate portfolio. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands‑on exposure to real estate asset management within a growing real estate investment and property management company. The Asset Management Associate will support portfolio performance tracking, reporting, and day‑to‑day coordination across internal teams, while also assisting with investor‑facing reporting support and documentation. The position offers broad exposure to the real estate investments lifecycle and is well suited for someone looking to build a strong foundation in asset management. This role will work closely with the executive team, property management team, and ownership groups, offering visibility into key areas of the business. Key Responsibilities Lead the monitoring of property and portfolio performance across the company’s assets Identify opportunities to improve property performance, revenue, and operational efficiency, including contributing ideas and insights to support asset‑level strategy Manage lender relationships, including timely reporting and tracking of loan covenants and key financial metrics, as well as supporting relationships with brokers, vendors, and other external partners Support the preparation and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports Gather and organize financial and operational data from internal teams Track key performance metrics and maintain organized reporting materials Coordinate with property management and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely information flow Serve as a point of contact for investor inquiries, including: Assisting investors with accessing documents and reports; Helping navigate the investor portal Support the distribution of investor communications and reporting materials Maintain accurate and up-to-date investor records within the investor relations platform (AppFolio Investment Manager) Provide support across the company in a collaborative team environment Assist with operational items related to the property management function, including: Tracking licenses, permits, and compliance‑related deadlines Contribute to improving internal processes and organization Support additional projects that contribute to overall company efficiency Qualifications At least 2–3 years of experience in real estate, finance, or a related field Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Positive, team‑oriented attitude with a willingness to learn Desired Characteristics Strong interest in asset management and real estate operations Experience with AppFolio Investment Manager preferred Analytical, detail‑oriented, and reliable Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized A team player willing to contribute across multiple areas of the business Interest in gaining exposure to both asset management and investor communication This role is designed as a foundational asset management position, with the opportunity to take on increased responsibility across asset management, investor relations, and broader operations over time.
