Sailing Instructor

Bay Harbor Yacht Club is seeking enthusiastic Sailing Instructors to join our summer team. Instructors teach sailing lessons to individuals and groups of all ages and skill levels while maintaining a safe and fun learning environment. This hands-on role also includes caring for the Club’s sailboat fleet, assisting with waterfront activities, and supporting member events. Ideal candidates are passionate about sailing, skilled communicators, and enjoy working outdoors as part of a collaborative team. This position is expected to start in early summer with a pay range of $18-$20+tips/commission. Job Duties: Teach sailing courses to individuals and groups of varying ages and skill levels Ensure safety protocols are always followed on and off the water Provide personalized instruction to help students improve their sailing skills Maintain and care for sailing equipment and boats Organize and oversee sailing events and programs Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all members and guest Education and/or Experience: Certified sailing instructor (preferred) or proof of previous certification. Prior teaching or coaching experience in Sailing (required) Job Competencies: Strong Leadership and communication skills Passion for sailing and water sports Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certification is a plus or willing to complete.
