Production Quality Technician

We are a growing, high-performance team in search of a Production Quality Technician to support quality and safety standards within our food manufacturing operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring finished products meet Frazil's quality expectations by performing hands-on inspections, organoleptic evaluations, and in-process quality checks while collaborating closely with the production team.Shift: 6:00am 3:00pm (1-hour lunch), aligned with the production schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Key Responsibilities:Conduct organoleptic evaluations of finished and in-process products, including assessing color, flavor, texture, and overall qualityVerify code dates, batch numbers, and product seals on production lines to ensure compliance with quality and safety standardsCollaborate with the production team to review and sign off on product quality prior to packagingPerform intermittent quality checks throughout the production processAccurately document quality findings and report any deviations or concerns to managementAssist in training new production staff on quality control procedures and expectationsFollow all food safety, sanitation, and quality policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseMinimum Qualifications & Competencies:Ability to work in a food manufacturing or production environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issuesBasic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (training provided)Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadershipWillingness to learn and adapt to evolving quality standards and proceduresAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamNo formal education or prior industry experience requiredPreferred Qualifications & Competencies:Previous experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or production environmentsBilingual (Spanish/English)Familiarity with quality documentation or inspection processesRequired Soft Skills:Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability for product qualityCollaborative mindset with a willingness to support production teamsReliable, consistent, and able to follow established proceduresOpen to feedback and passionate about continuous improvementComfortable asking questions and escalating concerns when necessaryPhysical Demands & Working Conditions:Continuously walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, and reaching in all directions.
