Senior Project Accountant | Real Estate Development$90 - 95K + bonusHouston, TX (Hybrid)A well-established Houston-based real estate development firm is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join their growing team. This role will support large-scale master-planned community and land development projects, working closely with project managers and leadership on financial oversight from acquisition through completion.This is a high-visibility role with strong long-term growth potential within a stable, highly respected organization.What You'll DoManage full-cycle accounting for multiple real estate development projectsTrack and analyze project costs, budgets, and variancesPrepare and review monthly financials for active developmentsMaintain and monitor job cost reporting and project-level forecastingPartner with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reportingSupport draw requests, funding, and cash flow managementAssist with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliationsWork cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners (developers, lenders, etc.) What We're Looking For 5+ years of accounting experience within real estate development or constructionStrong understanding of job costing / project accountingExperience with development accounting (land, horizontal, or vertical projects)Familiarity with WIP / percentage of completion (POC) preferredAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldAdvanced Excel skills Why This Opportunity?
