Supportive Health Coordinator

General Description of the Position: This position processes and, if appropriate, approves applications for emergency financial assistance for Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). This position is responsible for managing a high volume of data so that payments and data entry done accurately and in a timely manner. Responsibilities: * 1. Provide housing assistance to supportive health clients: 45% a) Understand and apply detailed requirements of federally-funded housing programs and agency-specific contracts. b) Review submitted applications for completion and adherence to defined program guidelines (ex: verifying client eligibility for program, confirming submitted documentation meets guidelines). c) Effectively communicate with staff of partner agencies regarding status of submitted applications, including requesting additional information or documentation as needed. d) Complete data entry into internal and external databases; high degree of accuracy required to ensure entry matches across several systems. e) Accurately track program activities and expenses and complete internal reporting as needed. 2. Provide emergency financial assistance to supportive health clients: 45% a) Understand and apply detailed requirements of emergency financial assistance programs. b) Approve or deny requests based on program policies (ex: verifying client eligibility for program, matching partner agency documentation to vendor invoices, flagging or reconciling expenses that do not meet program guidelines). c) Effectively communicate with staff of partner agencies and vendors as needed to administer program. d) Complete data entry into internal and external databases; high degree of accuracy required to ensure entry matches across several systems. e) Accurately track program activities and expenses and complete internal reporting as needed. 3. Other: 10% a) Log checks for organization and provide additional assistance to CFO as needed. b) Comply with all requirements for data security and protecting client privacy and confidentiality. c) Comply with all requirements for training in programs and services for PLWHA. d) Assist with other TCM projects as assigned within the scope of the position. Requirements: * 1. High school diploma and at least 5 years’ experience in a data entry/administrative role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Favorable background check. 3. Attention to detail and ability to complete high volume of data entry with minimal error. 4. Ability to follow procedures, be organized, and complete tasks as directed. 5. Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, supervisor, and external partners. 6. Experience with data entry and strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel. 7. Self-directed and able to organize multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. 8. Supportive of PLWHA; must be non-judgmental of individuals who are LGBTQ, have a history of substance use or incarceration, or experience other behavioral or environmental risk factors for HIV/AIDS. Discriminatory attitudes towards our clients would disqualify from position. Preferred Qualifications: * 1. Familiarity with Ryan White and HOPWA programs. 2. Familiarity with related social services and providers in the counties served. 3. Experience working with PLWHA.
