Varsity Girls Head Basketball Coach
Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is seeking an energetic and motivated head coach for our Girls Varsity Basketball program in 2026-27. Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is a pluralistic Jewish day school for students in grades 6-12 that is located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Our team competes in the Friends Schools League (FSL), PAISAA, and the Capital City Jewish Hoops Invitational. This position is responsible for, under the guidance of the Director of Athletics, the leadership of the Girls Varsity Basketball team.QualificationsPrior experience coaching competitive basketball at the high school, club, prep, or college levelPrior competitive playing experience preferredAbility to motivate and teach student-athletes in a positive environmentDemonstrated effective coaching skills and knowledge of basketball skill developmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProven ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship, and respectResponsibilities IncludeTeach the game of basketball at both the individual and team levelsEstablish a strong and positive team culture that values leadership, responsibility, and respect that aligns with JBHA’s core valuesHelp to mentor the upper school and middle school head and assistant coachesAssist in the development of the middle school and upper school basketball programsExpand the off-season basketball programIdentify potential prospective students and assist in engagement, when necessary.Drive student-athletes to games in team van if neededEffectively communicate and build relationships with players, parents, staff, and administrationSupport the athletic program and student-athletesAttend end-of-season sports awards assemblyThis is a stipend positionAll interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume, and references to:Bob Dignazio, Director of Athleticsbdignazio@jbha.orgJack M.
