Position Details:The hiring range for this role is typically between $95,000 and $120,000 annually, with the full range extending to $144,000 annually, based on experience, internal equity, and career progressionThis position will be In-OfficeMonday - Friday, day shiftPrimary Function:The Electronics Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, integration, and deployment of electronic systems. This role involves PCB schematic design, layout, flexible printed circuit (FPC) design, and wiring design for machines and robotic systems. You’ll work on a small, cross-functional team where flexibility, problem-solving, and hands-on engineering are key.Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:Design analog and digital circuits and develop schematics and PCB layouts for embedded systems and custom electronics Design and support FPC and rigid-flex PCB solutions where required Support integration of electronics and control hardware into automated and robotic systems Create wiring diagrams and specify cables, connectors, and harnesses for system integration Select components for both board-level and system-level needs (e.g., sensors, motors, power supplies, drives) Work with mechanical and electrical technicians during lab builds to assemble, wire, and debug systems Troubleshoot and validate PCB, FPC, and wiring performance during system integration and testing Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines (mechanical, software, test) to deliver fully integrated solutions Support system documentation, bills of materials, and customer deliverables (manuals, test procedures, etc.)Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences. Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline5+ years of experience integrating electrical and/or electronic systems, ideally in robotics, automation, or machineryExperience with PCB schematic capture and layout design, using tools such as Altium, Eagle, or similar Experience designing flexible printed circuits (FPC) or rigid-flex PCB designsStrong knowledge of wiring design, including cable assemblies, panel wiring, and harness designFamiliarity with motors, sensors, and motion system components used in roboticsAbility to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagramsComfortable working hands-on with lab tools, test equipment, and mechanical assembliesFamiliarity with UL 508A, NFPA 79, or other relevant safety/electrical standards is a plusStrong written and verbal English language communication skillsExcellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectivelyDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work groupDemonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core ValuesPass a post-offer background verificationWork Environment Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions.
