Cycle Counter
Description:
The cycle counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels within the manufacturing plant through regular cycle counting and reconciliation. This role involves verifying stock quantities, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring that inventory records are accurate and up to date to support efficient manufacturing operations while minimizing disruptions in the workflow.
Requirements:
Cycle Counting:
Perform regular cycle counts as scheduled to verify the accuracy of inventory records.
Use inventory management systems to track and document cycle counting activities.
Reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records
Inventory Accuracy:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent inventory issues.
Ensure all inventory transactions are recorded correctly in the inventory management system.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and maintain reports on cycle counting results, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
Document all cycle counting activities, including any adjustments made to inventory records.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work Closely with warehouse staff, production teams, and procurement to address inventory-related issues and discrepancies.
Communicate findings and suggest improvements to inventory management processes.
Quality Control:
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to inventory management and cycle counting.
Participate in audits and inspections as required.
Problem Solving:
Identify inventory discrepancies and develop solutions to prevent future recurrence.
Assist in troubleshooting inventory-related issues and implementing corrective actions.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Education:
Highschool diploma or equivalent, additional coursework in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks daily
Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy is essential

Basic computer knowledge

Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and safety hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
