Multifamily Maintenance Manager

Salary: $90,000-$100,000 + Car Allowance + BenefitsWe are seeking a hands-on, experienced Multifamily Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across a large, residential portfolio, managing property repairs, unit turnovers, and preventative maintenance while ensuring safety compliance. This role is critical for ensuring high resident satisfaction through quality, timely service, reducing callbacks and controlling maintenance expenses.The ideal candidate will have experience managing maintenance operations for large (300+unit) apartment communities, supervising teams, coordinating vendors and contractors, and ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard.Key Responsibilities Oversee and support maintenance operations across multiple multifamily communities Supervise and mentor floating maintenance staff and ensure efficient day-to-day operations Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and capital projects Determine when outside vendors or contractors are needed and manage those relationships Conduct regular property visits to assess maintenance needs and ensure quality standards are met Ensure timely completion of work orders and strong resident customer service Collaborate with property management teams to maintain operational efficiency and resident satisfaction Ensure compliance with safety standards, inspections, and property regulations Manage priorities effectively while balancing field responsibilities and administrative tasksQualifications Previous large multifamily community maintenance supervisory experience required Experience overseeing multiple properties preferred Strong knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, and apartment operations Experience working with older buildings and troubleshooting maintenance challenges preferred Proven ability to lead maintenance teams and manage vendors effectively Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills Software: Proficiency with work order system (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, Entrata) and Microsoft Office SuiteCompensation & Benefits Car allowance Health insurance Paid time off Monday–Friday schedule
