This role plays a critical part in supporting the patient experience by facilitating patient flow from arrival through registration, scheduling, and coordination of care in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-service driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and compassion in every patient interaction.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate patient flow from point of entry to destination efficiently and professionallyObtain, verify, and document accurate demographic, insurance, and financial information to support reimbursement and positive clinical outcomesSchedule patient appointments and coordinate registration activitiesInterview patients to obtain required medical and insurance informationExplain departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and patient expectationsValidate charges, collect payments, and ensure accurate documentation within healthcare systemsRespond to incoming calls and appropriately direct patients, visitors, and internal staffMaintain accurate patient records within EMR/EHR systemsCollaborate closely with providers, nursing staff, medical assistants, and Revenue Cycle Services (RCS) teamsSupport operational workflows while delivering exceptional customer service and patient-centered communicationEnsure compliance with HIPAA, organizational standards, and healthcare regulationsTeam EnvironmentSmall, close-knit team environment with strong collaboration and supportWorks closely alongside nursing staff, medical assistants, providers, and Revenue Cycle Services teamsCulture focused on teamwork, communication, professionalism, and patient-first serviceQualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDPreferredPrevious experience in a healthcare, medical office, or clinical settingAbility to learn and retain medical terminologyFamiliarity with insurance verification and interpretationKnowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferredBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)CMAA certification preferred, but not required
