Four year degree from accredited college OR equivalentexperience2. Evidence of satisfactory experience in transportation andsupervision3. Must be knowledgeable in State and Federal transportationlaw as well as Ohio Department of Education pupiltransportation regulations4. Must havae or obtain and maintain CDL certification5. Must be knowledgeable in transportation routing softwareRESPONSIBILITY:Assists the Director of Transportation in all aspects of thesupervision and coordination of the Canton City School District pupiltransportation system, including:1. Assignment of buses, drivers and substitutes to routes2. Recruiting and training bus drivers and other transportationpersonnel3. Working with school officials to meet their transportationneeds4. Community relations, handling complaints and requests fromparents and the public5. Grievance procedure and employee discipline6. Regulatory and reporting requirements7. Budgeting and the planning and purchasing of necessarysupplies and equipment8. Creating and adjusting bus routes and stops9. Overseeing the maintenance, housing, security & servicing ofvehicles10. Developing emergency transportation procedures and a bussafety program11. All other duties as assigned
