*Software Engineer* to support our C&CS department.

*Key Responsibilities*
As a member of the C&CS Department, the Cyber Software Engineer 2 will:
* Design and develop custom software supporting *CNO tools and techniques*.
* Design and develop *end-to-end data flows and tasking* for CNO tools.
* Develop, integrate, test, and maintain software applications supporting assigned projects.
* Program in one or more of the following languages: *Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python*.
* Develop Windows applications using *Visual Studio and/or .NET* environments.
* Develop UNIX/Linux applications using *Makefiles or comparable build environments*.
* Support embedded or mobile platform development using proprietary, Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS), or open-source build environments.
* Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and implementation requirements.
* Participate in *design, code, and software readiness reviews* in accordance with Government software development procedures and processes.
* Author and maintain technical documentation for assigned projects.
* Develop and execute software testing activities, including unit testing.
* Participate in technical presentations and briefings related to assigned projects.
* Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support successful project execution.
*Basic Qualifications*
* *Active TS/SI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph through the ND Customer is required.*
* Bachelor's degree in *Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering*, or a related technical field, with *8 years of relevant experience*;
*OR*
* Master's degree with *6 years of relevant experience*;
*OR*
* Ph.D. with *4 years of relevant experience*.
* Experience developing and working with *CNO tools and techniques*.
* Experience with *network socket programming*, including development of packet-level applications.
* Expert-level understanding of *IP, TCP, and application-layer protocols*.
* Software development experience in one or more of the following environments:
* *Windows applications* using Visual Studio and/or .NET.
* *UNIX/Linux applications* using Makefiles or comparable build environments
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience analyzing user requirements and deriving software design and performance requirements.
* Experience with software analysis and/or reverse engineering.
* Knowledge of CNO development concepts and methodologies.
* Experience with unit testing frameworks and best practices.
* Experience participating in formal software design, code, and readiness reviews.
* Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
