Chief EstimatorLocation: Hartford, Connecticut Salary: Up to $180,000 (DOE)SummaryA well-established commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts across a diverse portfolio of publicly funded and commercial renovation projects. This is a senior leadership position, working closely with ownership and project teams to secure work and drive accurate, competitive bids.The ideal candidate will be highly technical, confident leading estimates from concept through GMP, and comfortable operating in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. If you're an estimator who has successfully won work and wants a long-term role with real influence, this is an excellent opportunity.The Chief Estimator will be responsible for:Leading all estimating and preconstruction activities from early budgeting through final proposalPreparing detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates for commercial and multifamily projectsDeveloping CM fee proposals and GMP pricingReviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes to identify risks and opportunitiesCoordinating with subcontractors and suppliers during bid phasesSupporting project handoff to operations teamsMaintaining accurate cost data and pricing assumptionsContributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes and toolsThe Chief Estimator should have the following qualifications:8+ years of experience in commercial construction estimatingExperience winning projects as lead estimator valued at $5M+Strong understanding of renovation and work in occupied spacesSolid knowledge of MEP systems and coordinationHigh level of technical proficiency with estimating software and construction technologyBackground working for a reputable or larger GC/CM environment is preferredBenefits / Perks:Competitive base salary up to $180,000, dependent on experienceHealth insurance with employer contribution401(k) with company matchPTO accrual with carryoverLong-term stability with a well-established contractorDirect access to leadership and decision-makingIf you are interested in this Chief Estimator opportunity and would like to have a confidential conversation, please apply to learn more.
