Want to join us?Your new roleThere are millions of people from all around the world using Overleaf to write their best work. We collect lots of data describing how people interact with Overleaf, and have been building our product analytics capability over the last few years. We’re now looking for an experienced Analyst to join the analytics team, to take a lead on distilling our data for identifying product qualified leads for our B2B sales team.In this role you will have the opportunity to shape and build out a framework for identifying leads from our data, design and deliver polished data products for use by the sales and marketing teams, and also work closely with the sales teams in their prospecting efforts and renewal/retention conversations.We’re looking for someone with commercial experience who is comfortable talking with non-technical stakeholders and drawing out appropriate insights from data, and also happy getting stuck in using SQL for ad hoc analyses using our BigQuery data warehouse or producing tailored reports.This role is only open to the UK, Germany, Spain, and Romania.What you’ll be doingDesign and maintain internal data productsWith an eye for design and polish, work with sales, marketing and product teams to design, build and maintain internal data productsUncover stakeholder needs, and translate them into design requirementsSupport internal stakeholders in accessing and getting the most out of the team's data.Identify sales prospects from new and existing dataWith the data we already have, identify product qualified leadsWork with engineering and product teams to enhance data collection and synthesis processesShare this output with sales and marketing teams in a form they are able to act on.Take ownership of data projects from end to endElicit and understand stakeholder requirements and manage expectationsTranslate business questions into precise SQL queriesDistil your analysis into understandable and actionable insights for other teams and stakeholdersClearly communicate and visualise findingsVia dashboards, reports, presentations and updating relevant teamsIn a range of contexts including project groups, management teams and whole company updates.Ensuring a consistent approach across the teamWork closely with other departmentsHelp others understand our data, providing useful insights for their departmentsRepresent the analytics team in meetings and presentations, and bring a data perspective to various contexts in the businessImprove access to our data, and identify opportunities for using data to improve processes and workflows across Digital Science.What you’ll bring to the roleExperience of working closely with a sales team as a data product owner or B2B analystStrong stakeholder management skills at both the individual contributor and executive levelWorking collaboratively in cross-functional teams of engineering, product management and marketing colleagues(Technical / Other) RequirementsSQL experienceHave at least 5 years of experience in a similar roleBe based in the UK, Romania, Spain or GermanyBe usually available for meetings 2pm–5pm UK timeNot sure you meet all qualifications?
