Accounting Supervisor - Manufacturing
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee key components of the monthly close, revenue‑adjacent processes, and financial reporting for a complex, multinational manufacturing organization. This role blends hands‑on general accounting responsibilities with team leadership, process ownership, and cross‑functional collaboration. As part of a publicly traded, SOX‑compliant environment, the Accounting Supervisor ensures accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls while supporting ASC 606‑related activities.Responsibilities:Team leadership — Supervise and mentor staff accountants; review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.Month‑end close — Oversee close activities for assigned entities or business units, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.Revenue‑related accounting — Support review of revenue transactions, contract terms, and related adjustments under ASC 606.Financial reporting — Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and audit‑ready documentation.SOX compliance — Maintain and enhance internal controls; support internal and external audit requests.Inventory and cost accounting — Partner with operations to validate inventory valuation, standard cost updates, and manufacturing variances.Process improvement — Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and strengthen control environments.Cross‑functional partnership — Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, Commercial, and Corporate Accounting to ensure alignment and transparency.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred.5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a publicly traded or global manufacturing company.Strong understanding of US GAAP and working knowledge of ASC 606.Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff.Proficiency with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).Strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
