Make a difference for the world as part of a company leading the electric vehicle revolution.Position SummaryThe Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of OrangeEV high-voltage batteries, electric powertrains, and vehicle assemblies. This role requires 3+ years of experience, a strong grasp of technical specifications, and the ability to work independently to identify, document, and support the resolution of defects. This position supports in-line and end-of-line inspections, with a focus on electrical and electronic components. The role is hands-on and embedded in the production environment, working closely with the Quality Engineer and cross-functional teams (Production, Receiving inspection, Process Engineering and other Quality teams).Position ResponsibilitiesPerform in-line and final inspections of electrical assemblies, including wiring harnesses, connectors, relays, sensors, and power distribution modules.Intermediate understanding and usage of Quality core tools such as Inspection Checklists, Control Plans, inspection SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures). Analytical and problem-solving skills along with effective verbal, writing and interpersonal skills are required.Interpret and apply electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to validate build accuracy.Maintain traceability of serialized parts and assemblies, ensuring accurate documentation and data entry.Perform Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) on charger systems to ensure they meet all required Quality standards.Document non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues in real time.Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and contribute to quality-related training and awareness efforts.Position QualificationsLevel II: 3–4 years of QA / QC inspection experience, preferably in automotive or electrical manufacturing, with growth potential to Level III within 18 monthsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Familiarity with inspection SOPs, control plans, and checklists.Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Background in sheet metal fabrication, coating, and/or electrical/electronic component assembly preferred.Awareness of CSA marks, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 standards preferred.Essential Skills And CompetenciesEV-Specific Knowledge: Understanding of battery technology, electric motors, high-voltage systems, and electric charging components.Inspection Proficiencies: Conducting in-line and end-of-line inspections, functional tests, and 100% inspection, or applying sampling plans.Documentation and QMS: Strong competence in documenting nonconformities and using Quality Management Systems (QMS) or Microsoft Office to log data.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis to troubleshoot defects and prevent recurrence.Independent Judgment: Ability to work autonomously within defined guidelines, making crucial pass/fail decisions.Orange EV is an Equal Opportunity Employers and seek diversity in candidates for employment.EEO Employer W/M/Vet/Disabled/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
