Controls Engineer📍 Florence, Alabama Area🏭 Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturing🕒 Day Shift | 4 days a week (Friday's off) A growing Tier 1 automotive supplier in the Florence, Alabama area is seeking a Controls Engineer to support robotics, PLCs, automation systems, and continuous improvement initiatives within a highly automated manufacturing environment.This position will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, improve system reliability, and support ongoing automation upgrades.Key responsibilities include:Troubleshooting robotic systems, PLCs, conveyors, sensors, hydraulics, and pneumaticsProgramming and maintaining PLCs and robotic automation systemsSupporting ABB Robotics and Siemens PLC environmentsAssisting with automation improvements and vision systemsRoot cause analysis and equipment downtime reductionPreventive maintenance and optimization of automated manufacturing systemsSupporting continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiativesCross-functional collaboration with operations and engineering teamsQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferredHands-on controls/automation experience within manufacturingSiemens PLC and/or ABB Robotics experience strongly preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesAutomotive manufacturing experience preferredAdditional details:Highly automated manufacturing environmentAbility to support off-shift/on-call needs as requiredFast-paced production environment with strong growth potentialAdecco is working directly with the hiring team on this opportunity.If interested, please apply directly to
